GF Creamed Corn Toastie Pies

INGREDIENTS:

2 slices of gluten free bread

1 tsp of butter or margarine

2 heaped Tbsp creamed corn

2 Tbsp grated edam cheese

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Spread butter or margarine on one side of each piece of bread.
  2. Turn over one slice of bread, with spread facing down.
  3. Spoon creamed corn and cheese into the middle of the bread.
  4. Top with a second slice of bread.
  5. Place in warmed toastie pie maker.
  6. Cook until the bread is golden, and the cheese is melted.

If you don’ have a toastie pie maker, you can use a frying pan. Spread filling evenly across the bread. Fry in a pan until the bread is golden brown, flip and fry the second side of the toastie.

If eating at home, cool slightly then cut in half. In preparing for a school lunchbox, cool completely before cutting and wrapping.
