Brea Marsh developed ‘C is for Coeliac Disease’ with assistance from Coeliac New Zealand as her major project while studying Visual Communication Design at Massey University. Having personally experienced living with coeliac disease, she wanted to design an educational resource for children who have been diagnosed with coeliac disease.
Dr Jonathan Bishop a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist at Starship Hospital and member of the Coeliac NZ Medical Advisory Panel. says “The C for Coeliac Disease book presents important and useful medical information in an attractive, child-friendly format. It will be an invaluable resource in providing disease education to children and their caregivers after they are diagnosed with coeliac disease.”
Our sincere gratitude goes to the Sutherland Self Help Trust for granting Coeliac New Zealand funding to enable us to bring this resource to life and make it available to children and their parents throughout New Zealand to help them on their coeliac journey.
If you have a child with coeliac disease and you are not yet a member, we encourage you to JOIN so you can receive a copy of the resource at no charge as it is included with your membership welcome pack. NB: Existing members - don’t order via the website, instead please email admin@coeliac.org.nz as you only need to pay for the postage and handling.
