The Gluten Free Food Festival is here for the second time to celebrate the joy of gluten-free eating! Originating in the Bay of Plenty in 2022 and now coming to Auckland for 2023, this one-of-a-kind event brings together stallholders, gluten-free enthusiasts, and advocates, supporting Coeliac New Zealand in its mission to improve the lives of those with coeliac disease and gluten sensitivity. The Gluten Free Food Festival is proudly working in collaboration with Coeliac New Zealand to provide an epic, unforgettable experience for gluten free foodies around New Zealand. Gather information and glean knowledge from the CNZ conference and expand your culinary horizons at The Gluten Free Food Festival (don’t forget your shopping bags!). You can enjoy both the conference and the festival by purchasing a ticket to the conference today! Tickets to the Conference will receive free and exclusive entry into the Gluten Free Food Festival an hour before the general conference starts from 9.00 am until 10 am and then again during the lunch break, so you don’t have to choose one or the other!

The Heart of the Festival

At the core of the Gluten Free Food Festival are the passionate stallholders showcasing their creations. With a diverse range of products, these vendors provide gluten-free alternatives without compromising on taste and quality. Check out just some of the vendors attending in 2023!

Lucy’s Gluten Free: Indulge in good proper bread, that just happens to be gluten free! Whether you prefer fruity, seedy, or a good ol’ white sandwich, Lucy’s has something delicious for you.

The Damn Good Food Company: Sample and buy some damn good, sweet treats with The Damn Good Food Company! These decadently delicious, sweet slices in several popular flavours are also plant-based, raw, and cane sugar-free as well as gluten-free and are proudly Crossed Grain Logo accredited!

Wen and Yen: A well-known Auckland business, Wen and Yen are famous for their simply divine donuts, which are often free from dairy as well as gluten! If you have missed biting into a soft, sweet donut, Wen and Yen is the stall to visit!

The Reason and the Why

As the driving force behind the Gluten-Free Food Festival, I, Shayna, have a personal connection to the cause. I'm passionate about food readily being available for everyone regardless of dietary requirements – growing up in a family with a wide variety of food intolerances I saw the need for “alternative” food to be more easily available. I'm a huge foodie, gluten intolerant, and have a background in event management so I naturally enjoy providing a platform for people to come together annually to freely explore the culinary world without worry.
