An announcement on the 20th of April confirmed that NZ will move from Alert Level 4, to Alert Level 3 for 2 weeks on the 27th of April until the middle of May. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern emphasised that level 3 will remain fairly restrictive. “The most important thing to remember is that all of this preparation in one week’s time, a recovery room of sorts, has many restrictions. Yes, alert level three allows more economic activity, like construction, manufacturing and forestry. But it does not allow more social activity and for good reason: if we want to make sure we are a health success story and ensure our economy can operate again without the virus taking off, we need to get this next phase right.” So stay safe stay home and stay connected via phones, emails and social media. During this lock-down period we will commemorate Anzac Day. A day for remembering service and sacrifice in conflict, and the strength that comes from working together to overcome adversity," Air Marshal Kevin Short said. "This year, more than ever, we need to draw on the many qualities that the enduring Anzac spirit has taught us; mateship, endurance, good humour, ingenuity and courage." He encouraged veterans, service personnel, families and the wider public to engage with the Stand at Dawn campaign.
The Coeliac NZ office will remain closed during this period as we continue to work from home. Please email, call the office and leave a message or send a request via the website.
