Our overriding vision at Coeliac NZ is that people with Coeliac Disease live healthy lives every day. Our staff and volunteers have done a great job in delivering on the five key priorities set last year for the 2023 to 2026 Strategic Plan. I’d like to thank Wendy and our growing team, who have continued to increase CNZ’s profile and provide support to our members. They have done the hard mahi to ensure the financial viability of CNZ, while continuing to engage volunteers and members across
fundraising, events, and managing different channels to get support and information to as many coeliacs as possible.
Thanks to the Medical Advisory Panel for their continued support. The credibility of CNZ is fundamental in driving existing and new members to our website as a source of facts. It’s reassuring for everyone to have such a high level of professionalism behind the information we provide as an organization. You are also instrumental in giving our members and stakeholders the opportunity to access and be involved in the latest research into coeliac disease. I know many members and coeliacs, in general, are grateful for the knowledge you impart and hope for a better future that you provide. It’s not easy to find the time to be at the top of your game and volunteer for CNZ, so again, we offer our sincerest appreciation. I would also like to thank our Crossed Grain Logo and Dining out Partners, our ambassadors, as well as all our sponsors for their continued support of Coeliac NZ. We are very grateful for your ongoing support and look forward to working more closely with you over the coming year. Coeliac NZ is most grateful to have a dedicated and enthusiastic membership. We extend our heartfelt thanks and admiration to all our members, including our dedicated Area co-coordinators and numerous volunteers, who generously devote their time and energy to support Coeliac NZ. Your unwavering commitment and valuable contributions do not go unnoticed. We are deeply appreciative of everything you do to support our organization.
Last but not least, I would like to thank our board members. We now have nine people in our governance team, with a broad range of backgrounds, interests, and skills that give a formidable resource to CNZ management. As well as a governance role, we have created operational groups that the GM can call on for advice and to carry out tasks as required. My role as Chair is made easy thanks to the time and energy the board members put in, and I would like to acknowledge you all for your efforts.
